The iconset still works perfectly, but unfortunately I do not have enough time and work-life balance to focus on it any more. With enough third-party support, I can think of revitalizing it back, but for now I am not actively developing it any more. Feel free to drop me an email if you are interested in continuing its development!
I will also probably add the icons to GitHub, in order to align better with my workflow that mainly uses github. My other iconset, i.e. the phantasmagorically awesome FlatWoken icon theme, is already there. Download it here -> github.com/alecive/FlatWoken
Also, I am not very active on deviantart any more. I will keep the account open for legacy purposes, but I have moved on with my life and I cannot juggle with icon design any more.

This is a port of AwOken icon theme on KDE desktop environment. It has all the features provided by AwOken iconset, i.e. a script that lets you to choose between a lot of cool customization options (see the README PDF file for further info). The only differences are in the customization script, so please feel free to report any bug you'd find.

Before asking, if you have any problem, run at least once the customization script, and TAKE A LOOK AT THE README FILE!!!

QUICK INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS -> You can choose between:
- PPA modality for debian-based distro:
- Type in a terminal window:
- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alecive/antigone
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install awoken-icon-theme
- awoken-icon-theme-customization
- Follow Instructions WARNING: with ppa subscription you can always get the newest version on your machine. But to see the improvements, you have to configure (or re-configure) at least once the iconset either for clear version, or dark version, or even a colored one.
- Download the iconset:
- EDIT: for now, deviantArt doesn't let me upload the iconset due to its restrictions. So, from now on, the icon set will be available from this link (on my dropbox account) -> www.dropbox.com/s/xuhcca7rocccβ¦
- Extract the archive you downloaded, then System Settings -> Application Appearance -> Icons and click the Install Theme File button. Then, click the "Open file dialog" button on the right of the location text entry, select the kAwOken.tar.gz file you just extracted, and click the "Ok" button. You have to iterate this procedure both for the kAwOkenDark.tar.gz archive, and the kAwOkenWhite.tar.gz archive.
- Open a terminal/konsole (or whatever you prefer) and type:
- cd `kde4-config --localprefix`/share/icons
- sudo chmod +x kAwOken*/kawoken-icon-theme-customization*
- sudo cp -p kAwOken*/kawoken-icon-theme-customization* /usr/bin
- kawoken-icon-theme-customization
- Follow Instructions
RECOMMENDED PACKAGES
To exploit full power of customization script, you need zenity (optional, used to see the GUI - in a next future I'll port all the script to kdialog) and imagemagick (mandatory, used to color icons). If you use Debian-based distro, they're in repositories.

I've always loved this iconset.
However, it appears it hasn't been updated in a long time. The latest Awoken package is for saucy, while vivid is the current distribution. Will you be providing an update anytime soon?

A me l'icona di spotify risulta quella standard sia quella nella tray che quella nei vari menu/lanciatori.
Per quanto riguarda l'icona di Sublime, invece, vedo quella originale. (tranne nella sez. dei lanciatori che non si vede proprio, ma sarΓ un problema mio.)

Ok da quanto mi sembra di capire in realtà spotify è quella awoken ma non è stata messa grigia dallo script. Puoi controllare nel set che usi se è così?
L'icona Γ¨ in clear/apps/128x128/spotify.png. Se quella Γ¨ verde, allora c'Γ¨ un baco nello script e basta!
Sublime è un altro bel casino perchè in realtà non usa le icone di sistema (ho aperto un bug qualche mese fa, ma io ho risolto mettendoci l'icona a mano).

Awesome icon set... love them!! Only one issue, icons "preferences-desktop-file-association" looks a little out of place... which is in my case is a white file icon with a red cross... I am not sure if its broken or just that... I installed it using the ppa. Thanks again for the amazing icon set!!

OP, I love your icon set. IMHO, it is the best there is. Could you maybe post them as a torrent? I've been trying to download this all day but the dropbox link keeps giving the following error: "Error (509) This account's public links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled!"
Also, I was wondering if I could talk to you sometime about what you do. I am interested in doing things like this for the Linux community, and I have a few questions regarding time invested, income received, and licensing.

Per quanto riguarda copy, purtroppo non c'Γ¨ modo di cambiare la sua icona. Ho scaricato i sorgenti ed ho visto che al suo interno non c'Γ¨ alcuna icona! Probabilmente le icone sono embedded nel codice sorgente, quindi ogni mio sforzo sarebbe vano, mi dispiace

It's quite a huge list! Here is my answer. I would like you to help me in answering my questions, because otherwise I'll not be able to draw the icons.
- Icons that will be done without any problem: steam,dolphin-emu, p7zip, winegame, ktnef (I'll use the usual archive icon), nmapsi4, kscd (it will be the cd-audio icon)
- playonlinux is already done and available. Why do you have problems with it?
- On KDE systray icons are handled by the plasma theme (and not the icon theme), so it's not my fault. Btw, this behavior sucks: it's completely stupid.
- Skype doesn't render correctly because probably it's the gtk application rendered on KDE. And KDE sucks in rendering gtk applications (for example, also firefox doesn't work as far as I know). So it's kde's fault, not mine. The same applies to the systray icon. But this is skype's fault
- What is "find files and folders" icon? Can you share a screenshot?
- Regarding the mimetypes: I'm not able to find the correct name of a mimetype icon from its extension. I'd rather need the application that uses it (in order to be able to find the name that such an app uses).
- Icons with problems:
- pac manager is a remote desktop viewer or rather a ssh interface ? Would you like me to use the usual remote desktop viewer icon or an ethernet plug icon? I would rather prefer the first one, in order to be consistent with the overall style of the iconset.
- pycharm doesn't have a .desktop application, thus its icon cannot be changed (it's bundled in the executable, so there's no way to change it). The same is for qgit, smartgithd and kwikdisk. There's no way to change them, so I'll not draw the icon.
- teamviewer is a completely different matter: its icon is hard-coded in the .desktop file (it points to /opt/teamviewer8/tv_bin/desktop/teamviewer.png ), thus it forces itself to use its own icon instead of the custom icon that, by the way, I already did.
- linphone is somehow in the between (it points to @prefix@/share/pixmaps/linphone/linphone.png that is not standard) but I'll draw the icon and I'll let you find if the icon is changed. The same applies to virt-manager and twinkle.
- zenmap: I wasn't able to find a package to download. Can you provide it for me?

Pac Manager is like Putty in Windows, it manages ssh, vnc and rdp, the icon is a globe world, so you can use an icon like remmina or KRDC I guess...

I know it's a shame, and I'm sorry for it. The only thing you can do is to contact the developers of the apps and then ask them to create a more "standard" app with standard icon handling. Or point them to me in order for me to teach them!

You have to dig into /usr/share/icons, find the icons related to the mimetypes you asked and then tell me their exact name
