Princess' Twilight castle was rather empty:Ace was out filming something with his friends;Hunter went studying at Ben's house; Prism went to the lake with her uncle and aunt;Rainbow was at the Wonderbolts HQ and wouldn't be back before dinner and the princess herself was studying in the castle's library,too absorbed by her books to notice whatever was taking place in the other rooms.

Only Aden and Summer had supposedly nothing better to do than staying at home ''enjoying'' each other company.

Out of the five siblings these two were the least cooperative when it came to be civil around each other.It was mostly Aden fault,really.

He was just so big headed that spending 5 minutes with him would've caused you a headache that would've lasted for hours.

Summer was peacefully curled up in her favorite blankie,console in one hoof,and sippy cup full of warm milk in the other.The perfect afternoon after that hell that was morning at school.Peace at last.

That peace went completely flying out of the window when a fiery maned colt announced his presence by bursting through the door of Summer's game room.

'' 'Sup,shorty!Your favorite brother is here!''

Summer snorted.''Favorite brother''.He wasn't even on her top 10 of favorite relatives.

''Watcha' doing,Anger Brows,mhm?''

Summer wasn't in the mood today.She wasn't going to let her game session be ruined by this blue brat.She had to cut his bullshit short.

Aden wasn't really the brightest crayon in the box.

He held out a hoof,but his sister just kept her attention on her game.

It was almost fascinating how many nicknames he was able to come up with while never adressing her by her name.

He bumped his hoof onto his chest instead.

''Fear not,your amazing brother is here to change that long face!Wanna hear about my fantastic day?''

Did she have any real choice?

'' 'Course you do!Well,first,this morning mom teached me a super cool trick.Of course I learned it at first try,because you know,I'm an amazing and fast learner.As fast as my speed,yeah-

His ramblings were one of the most irritating and boring things that any poor ear provided creature would have the misfortune to hear.

They were so full of narcissism, arrogance and fangirling that a peacock would've looked humble.

''-Then she took me to school while all those kids had their jaws totally hitting the floor.Ah!You should've seen their faces-''

Summer rolled her eyes.She learned soon enough how to block out anything that came out of her brother's mouth,still,the noise in the background was annoying.

So she noticed when Aden stopped talking.He was looking at her with a cocky grin.

''C'mon now,Sammy.I know you're jealous of all my radical time that I spend with mom,but ignoring someone when they're talking to you is pretty rude,y'know''

Summer was staring at him now,anger quickly builiding inside her.

Here we go she thought.Back at it again with the ''Favorite child'' argument.

He was only Rainbow's favorite child,and if he would've been born flightless like her he would be nobody's favorite child.

She thought of reminding him of that.

''Nobody likes you,idiot.'' she said scowling.

Aden's grin grew wider

''See?You're totally jealous.Just admit it and maybe I will be so generous to tell mom to make you tag along with us more often.You might learn a thing or two,Chicken Wings.''

Sure.There was some truth to his words,Summer was very jealous of Aden.He gets all the positive attention and praising of their mother that Summer can only dream of;he's so coddled, loved and sheltered while Summer gets ''though love'' treatment only because she was born with small,useless wings and her grandma' wasn't ok with that.So yes,she was jealous of Aden.

''You know nothing.'' she said in a barely audible whisper.

She was getting seriously mad,but Aden favorite thing was getting a reaction out her siblings,and now that he was getting that, he wouldn't have backed down so soon.

''Oh really?Then you don't wish to be an awesome flier like me and mom,right?''

''You don't wish for grandma' to finally notice you as more than a ''thing'' to ''fix'',right?''

''You don't wish for everypony to stop looking at you all sad and pitiful,right?''

Maybe he wasn't a total knucklehead after all.

But this consideration didn't stop her blood from boiling in her veins.

She stood up,every feather of her body standing upright making her look like a very pissed kitten.She bared her teeth making it very clear that she wouldn't have hesitated to snap them shut around someone's ear.

It happened in the past,she can leap pretty well for a clumsy toddler.

Aden stopped grinning.Maybe he went too far this time.He didn't want to make her mad but seeing her trembling with rage suggested that he just did so.

''Look,Summer,I didn't-''

''YOU KNOW NOTHING!''

''Woah,hey!That's-''

''Nobody likes you Aden.They only tolerate you because you're decent at flying.''

''Ok,ok.Chill out!I was only paraphrasing what everybody said,ok!I was joking around!''

She snorted,giving him a sneer look.

''Take it back,dwarf!''

''I didn't say anything.''

They were both glaring at each other,fuming.

''That's why you don't have any friends!''

''You don't have any either!''

''AT LEAST I'M NOT A WEIRDO LIKE YOU!''

''AT LEAST I'M NOT A DICKHEAD!''

''AT LEAST MOM LOVES ME!''

''KNOCK IT OFF,BOTH OF YOU!''

They did.They froze in place turning to look at a very aggravated Twilight Sparkle.

Aden backed down immediately.Shit

Summer on the other hand,was glaring daggers at the floor while hot tears were streaming down her cheeks

''At least mom loves me!''

Happy family stuff coming next,don't worry,but now here's a typical interaction between Aden and Summer.They don't like each other and they're very aware of each other's weak spots but they don't usually go this far with the insults.

Guess who Summer will miss the least when she leaves Ponyville in the future.

Also dinner after that was going to be a lot of fun,am I right?
