Summer was reluctantly dragging herself through the school's corridor.Low gaze,several steps behind her obnoxiously loud classmates.

Where do two year olds find that much energy in the morning anyway?
Why were they always so excited?It's just school.One of the worst types of schools too: private school.

The type of school where only pompous, arrogant, self-centered and wealthy people send their just as arrogant spawns.

Fortunately she and her parents were nothing like that (maybe a tad bit sometimes ),but a lot of those aforementioned individuals attended the school and their favorite hobby was to bring other people down.

Her train of thoughs was interrupted by the sound of a snickering colt right behind her.
She kept walking,she didn't need to turn around to know who it was: his annoying laugh was unmistakable.

''Hallo duchshund!''

His name was Golden Ray,he was 3 years older than Summer,already in an higher grade than his own due to his amazing intelligence and formal way of speaking.Coming from an awfully rich mixed family from Griffonstone;he was conceited,intelligent,straightforward and down right cruel sometimes.He though so highly of himself that he considered everyone else not worthy of his time,resulting in not having friends whatsoever.
He liked to pass his time reminding all the other kids of their place below him,especially a certain quiet rainbow maned filly that he taunted since the very beginning.

Smirk growing wider as he approached his favorite target ''What's up Sammy?Where you going this slow,eh?'' he asked with fake sympathy.

Feeling anger building up in her belly,Summer freezed and turned her head to his tormentor.He gave him an ice cold glare that could alarm even the thoughest of opponents,but not lil' ol' Golden Ray,that was now menacingly towering over a ''ready to throw down'' Summer Tempest.

On the first day of preschool,Golden spotted a very much awkward and clumsy Summer;as soon as the parents left he started verbally bashing her to get a reaction out of the light blue filly,and while the taunts were effective to a certain degree,he sure learned that invading her personal space was a much faster and entertaining way to piss her off.

And so he did.

He started poking her repeatedly.''Did your moms finally gave up on you,chicken little?''

''..No...'' was all she was able to make out through gritted teeth.

''How come?They should send you back to the orphanage they picked you up from''

''I'm not adopted.'' the reply came out as a low dangerous snarl,indicating that hell was about to break lose.

''Hard to believe Sammy,with those deformed wings,rat tail and crooked teeth.You certainly cannot be related to such a well-respected family,mhm?''
He then proceeded to stomp on her front hoof.Hard

She yelped at the sudden pain,but just as Summer was about to retaliate by possibly biting his ear off,the two kids got interrupted by a passing filly that stopped and run to Summer's rescue.

Ah,yes.That's why Summer hates school and education in general.The costant bullying,the asshole teachers,the suffocating parents,the fights,dealing with her complete social ineptitude and anxiety.All of that pretty much ruined all her school experience from kindergarten to 12th grade.She builded up so much anger and sorrow that she had to take some time off from school and be homeschooled for a period of her life.

She did have a lighthouse to guide her through this dark path,though.She made friends: only two,but still,that's a lot on Summer's book.

Cloud Snatch is the first that she befriends and the who she will stick with the most.At this point they've already met (first encounter here: fav.me/dbjgfu5 )but they really didn't talk.Cloudy tried several times to approach her since she kept catching her staring at her during recess and she vaguely remembered their parents chatting with each other at the start of the school year so she wanted to ask her to hang out or something, but Summer still kept her distance for a while.
