"Hey squirts, do you like my new do?" Rosy brushed her forelock gently with her hoof "I,like, tried for something more aerodynamic which means I had to loose the pony tail, buuuuut short styles are TOTALLY the thing right now."

Hightide who was closest, just gazed at Rosy like a dog who was trying its best to comprehend their master's command. A stick he had gnawed down to the sapwood hung halfway out of his mouth.

"Tide if you don't stop chewing on sticks I'm telling mom!" Cherry Bomber ran over, barely giving the older mare any attention, as she yanked the stick out of her brother's mouth, cringing at the drool and tooth marks, before tossing it into the bushes. "Well...I guess it's better than chewing the furniture." Cherry deadpanned.

"Uh, AHEM!" Rosy cleared her throat.

"Oh, high Rosy." Cherry had known she had been there all along but ignored her by choice. Only the weak gave Rosy what she wanted. "Why'd you cut all your hair off?" she asked. "Are ya sick?"

Rosy's left ear twitched. "Why does your brother still act like a dog?" Rosy countered. Hightide actually whined.

"Leave him alone he doesn't act like a dog!" Cherry's ears drooped. "Daddy said that it's... a... 'phase'..."

"Pfft, yeah right!" Rosy rolled her eyes. "And you don't smell like an ash tray."

Cherry went livid. "I don't!"

"Heh,heh, working in your little sweat shed with your grandpapy, what in Equestria are you two doing in there? Making bombs?"

"Stop saying that!"

"Not until you prove me wrong, little girl." Rosy Rascal cooed. She could practically see the steam gushing out of Cherry Bomber's ears and it filled her with, albeit shallow, satisfaction.

"I ain't got to prove nothing, because it's none of your business." Cherry snorted. "Why are you here bothering us again?"

"Neither of you little gnats really deserve to know but in order to make coming here not a TOTAL waste of my time..." Rosy paused for dramatic effect. "I'm entering the blitz ball league."

While Cherry Bomber gasped, Hightide relocated the stick Cherry had thrown into the bushes.

"No way," Cherry said. "You got in?"

"You're surprised?" Rosy tittered. "Like, as if, squirt, I was a total shoe in!"

The words filtered down from the mean and nasty part of Cherry's brain instantly. She was so used to the normal penchant for the cutting remarks and juggling of insults that it spilled out of her mouth before she even had a chance to comprehend it.

"Because your dad just let you in." Cherry's eyes went wide. "Oops-I meant-"

It was too late. Rosy's whole form went rigid, her face pallid and angry.

"Why you stubby little!-"

So I mainly drew this to play around with the age differences. And because I gave Rosy Rascal yet another design. I'm not even sure if I consider it a redesign. I'm taking a strange cue from Bulma where it seems she had a new hairstyle every season. I thought that was cute.

- In this picture she's clearly the oldest child, I'd say older than Cherry by 3 years. And Hightide is younger than Cherry by maybe 2 or 3 years.

- I'm considering calling cloudball blitz ball just because it sounds cooler Final Fantasy be damned.

- Rosy Rascal talking about a sweat shop and Cherry's grandfather is alluding to the fact that Spectral Ray inherited a fireworks "factory" and Cherry Bomber is his apprentice.

- And Hightide is acting normally, though Cherry thinks he's teething or something, he's far too old for that. It's something worse than teething.

- I don't like the back of Cherry's head... I'm not very accustomed to drawing ponies from this angle.
