Perhaps the ones from the green gene line also have a gene that makes them larger. Not unheard of.

true! ive heard of that as well. I found this one in a different spot than usual too. Thats the third mantid ive seen there. There must have been oothecae laid there as well. Its quite far and none of the ones by the track where i usually see them are adults yet so the only way they could have gotten there is if they actually crawled all the way there which is very unlikely. So definitely had been laid by a different mantid than cheech.
I had collected a bunch of green wild ones that turned brown unfortunately. Even when surrounded by green, its weird. Im hoping goliath will stay green. They usually turn brown after their second molt with me. They stay green with the first one. Pattern ive noticed. Goliath is a subadult so just one more molt so i think she may stay green. Hope so! i want a green adult.

If she stays green you got to breed her and I'd want one of her babies real bad.

By the way, Peter sold out of all the millipedes I wanted so I'm not placing an order until he has more to sell. He's got new desert beetles I'd like to have but I don't want to pay the shipping for just 2 beetles and an isopod culture. Maybe in a few weeks he'll still have them and some more pedes.
