Description
Be sure to see the last version : Soft7 2.0- Use "Soft7" if you have your superbar on bottom or on the left
- Use "Soft7 on top" if you have your superbar on top or on the right
INSTALL :
1) FIRST, DOWNLOAD AND RUN THIS Universal Theme Patcher IN ADMINISTRATOR MODE (right-clic > "Run as administrator"), UAC must be turned off
After patch, restart computer to take effect
2) extract content ("Soft7 1.8.theme" & "Soft7 1.8" folder) into C:WindowsResourcesThemes
and double-click on Soft7 1.8.theme
Then restart Windows in order that everything takes effect !
To change your ExplorerFrame.dll :
Windows Theme Installer by Kishan-Bagaria
For 64bits Windows 7 :
Explorerframe.dll 64bits > "System32"
Explorerframe.dll 32bits > "SysWOW64"
MOST COMMON PROBLEMS have been fixed by :
>> Install the right patch I give above !
>> Install your graphic card drivers &/or updates them
>> Download the theme again (because you own an ancient version)
>> Read the description and comments fully and carefully !!

HOW TO CHANGE ICONS ON THE SUPERBAR :
First, place your shortcut on the desktop, change icon by : right-click > Properties > Change icons > browse..... > OK > OK
only then place this shortcut on the superbar,
and now it works.

do i have to patch the two themes separately if i also want my superbar to be on top?
its like this... i have two accounts running on my pc.. i want both themes for my 2 accounts... do i just have to click soft 7 on top for it to work?... i realy dont know...
i think im just scared my computer might crash...

Hahaha, your computer won't crash like that
double click on the theme is the only thing needed to install it, and do it again to change your theme in a matter of seconds, that's very easy.
So you have two accounts... well, try to patch your system on your administrator account, install the theme if you want here, and try just to install the theme on the other account without patching again and see what happen
If it doesn't work on your second account then patch it too.
If you are under Windows 7 then there is no risk at all for your computer, theming is not a big deal, it's like changing your wallpaper, not a lot more you know

You have to install it in the correct folder so it could work, again, everything is explain in the description.

the bottom soft 7 works... my prob is the top... i already put in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes... still doesnt work...

If you've installed the bottom version correctly then don't touch anything, the file *.theme are "only" a link to the real *.msstyles, and they are both inside the good folder when you download my *.rar
So place the normal version correctly and then only launch the "on top" version.

Great works!!! I love it super. I think this is the best ever seen before.
Now I just tried to get my Firefox 3.6 same looks as you did above and installed
all the add-ons & theme in links you posted, but I'm just wondering why it still can't make same look.
Are you using Firefox 4 beta with some add-ons?

well i downloaded, did that patch thing It restarted, took the files and put them in the theme folder pressed the 1.8.theme and restart and it only changed minor icons like the refresh button and stuff. then i did it all over again and added the system files to the system32 folder. Still nothing. i could just be the steps i did. because i know many people are enjoying this. the colors of the menu got brighter after i did all this

What files did you copy and where exactly ? If nothing happens at all then you're missing something.
Also, I've updated the files only a few hours from now, so you may download it again by precaution.
But I've only updated it because there was a mistake in the name of one of the files, and when you tried to install the theme, Windows only appeared with the classic theme (like Windows 98).
(this bug only happened for few weeks)

The theme does not only change the taskbar, it changes many things.
Please explain to me what you did, all the steps (after downloading) so I could understand where the problem came from and help you

The system files change the navigation (back and forward) buttons as well as the refresh and search button in the explorer.

I've updated the theme, now it has to work for everyone, it was my mistake by forgetting to rename one of the system files.

Hi, I have a problem in Windows 7, I install the Universal Theme Patcher, restart system, then put the folder soft7 1.8 in C: \ windows \ resources \ themes

I didn't download it again but 1 week later it works normal again. This is the best Windows 7 Theme I have ever used. I'm still using it. Thank you for making this theme

By the way, this start orb is named steelOrb, not softOrb, so it's not exactly the true start orb that goes with this theme, I just thought it could be good with it and many people agree with that.
