Description
In this Chapter Jesus announces the rewards to those who are and will be with Him, can see that it is not all pink on the contrary, because there are also persecutions, indeed he even writes in several passages the persecutions of Christ (Acts 5:40) "They agreed with him, and called the apostles, and beat them, and forbade them to speak in the name of Jesus, and released them." Also in Revelation 2:10 " Do not be afraid of what you are going to suffer, behold, the devil will throw some of you into prison so that you may be tested, and you will have a tribulation of ten days, be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. "I am not going to quote you this would take a lot of time, what must be remembered is that the persecution on the one hand proves the word of God and that the persecutions are there to test us for us to please God, so that we are not blinded by pride or vanity or other.Jesus wants us to have the "flavor" of the salt methaphorus, we must be "spicy" of "taste" and not be bland and tasteless, as some so-called Christian denominations think to be.
What better than to practice speech?
Then the Lord describes perfectly the fact that we are "torches" and that we must not jealously guard the Word, but put on a support so that it is visible! because otherwise, on the one hand the people will not be and when more than that, it will be asked again in the judgment! So let's not keep for ourselves the teachings of Christ. The Lord clearly says my people perished for lack of knowledge.
Jesus makes it clear that He did not come to destroy the Law and the Prophets but to fulfill Him. then it's interesting to see how Jesus redefined the Law,
declaring that previously The Law declares that one should not practice certain acts, but that now if a person has in his heart the thought of doing it, it becomes a sin. Because from the heart comes the evil thoughts of men (Matthew 15:19)
You think that impossible, for men yes but for God NOTHING is impossible, if you have the WILL to change then it is possible, provided you ask God.
By praying for you, in the name of Jesus. glory to the Lord!
