Description
This is an illustration I did a few months ago, which is basically a digital collage. Everything is 'built' from scratch, from photos I took, and others I found online. What I was really trying to do here was to make an 'ad' for a futuristic resort. It's amazing to think that not only in the future there'll be flying vehicles, but that there'll be brochures for them as well!

This work shows a wonderful use of color.
While you stuck to almost exclusively greens for the solid objects, you used an intense sunset in the background - this makes for a wonderful contrast.
I love the use of perspective here - everything feels like its properly scaled, with the floating ships having a truly massive feel to them.
My only complaint is that perhaps a different ship design could be sketched for the third and furthest away ship - the second is fine because it lets the viewer see what the rest of the ship closest to their face looks like, but the third creates a clear pattern of re-using things.
This absolutely deserved the DD it got in 2007. Great work, fav'ed and watched.

Hmm I guess it's quite ok, really high level of detail that I certainly admit, but there are a few things that bugs me. Mainly the two small ships, the one closest to the viwer is so dark it feels abif flat, without no appereant reason. And the one behind it, well it's to foggy, to be that hazy and unclear it should be further off in the distance as nothing around it is as hazy and unclear.
Also I don't really like how repetitive the larger ships feel, they look exactly identical and are viewd in exactly the same angle. Adding to or taking from some of the would probably break that. Ok I realise they're probably sister ships or similar, but ehh it annoys me slightly.
Never the less, pretty darn good work, keep it up.
