..meaning freedom in Latin, Libertas is a word we can all connect to, is it not??!
I try more and more to apply this concept to my art, but it can seem difficult at times, as there are 'rules' in creating art that sometimes confine us. But the imagination is like the Matrix...there are rules there, but they can be bent and broken!
So I definitely went nuts with this image, and even though it has a dark vibe, I wanted to keep it whimsical and playful. You can find baby elephants, zebras, and bunnies in there!
And last but not least, our human element. For me, that bridges the gap between the viewer and the painting, and dammit I can't help doing that sometimes!
