All hail the Alorian Empire, look upon their might and despair!
This second page of designs shows some of the specialized units of the army, as well as the elite members of the Royal Guard. Most troopers and naval cadets are conscripts serving out a mandatory five year term of service, and are rewarded with citizenship in the empire (allowing them to vote, own property and travel across the empire). The more exceptional individuals can move on to the special forces and further serve the empire, allowing for even further advancement in society for the individuals and their families. Service in the Royal guard is restricted to elite soldiers of noble birth, who's families have proved their loyalty with two generations of service.

SPECIAL FORCES
Heavy weapons specialist are troopers that have distinguished themselves in battle. They form elite teams that are used for dangerous missions that require precision and deadly force, such as ship boarding, raids of high value targets and demolition. Scout snipers specialize in covert reconnaissance, fire support and the elimination of key enemy personnel. They support heavy weapons teams while they carry out their missions, along with tactical droids the provide real time intelligence on the battlefield. Scuba troopers are a further specialization of trooper, created for recon, sabotage and combat in aquatic environments. Tankers (as well as other vehicle drivers and crew) form the mechanized corps of the Alorian army. They provide fire and logistical support and transport for army units, and are a crucial factor in the empire's ability to take and hold key nodes and critical infrastructure. Military police deal with law breaking troopers and naval cadets and guard military bases and facilities.

ROYAL GUARD
Warriors of the royal guard are separate from the military command, instead reporting directly to the Alorian royal family. The highest ranking (and most skilled) and the near mythical Imperial Knights. Their ancient and secretive order has sworn allegiance to the Empress, and serve to protect her realm from any enemies that might threaten it. They are outranked only by Admirals, Commodores, High Commanders and Generals (but even these can be overruled by royal decree, if the knight's mission of supreme importance). Based on the system of Deus in the Home World system, little is know of the knights order, save that they always appear with two apprentices at their side. High guards are assigned to members of the royal families in all five realms, guarding them in their palaces, villas and ships. They are hand selected soldiers (of highborn birth) chosen for their skills in combat, as well as their physical beauty. Royal guards are more numerous, forming garrisons around royal palaces, temples and key government buildings. They are selected from special forces members who have proven their loyalty (though some are members powerful families, and are given these posts to keep them away from more dangerous branches of the military)
