I was bored this afternoon, so I applied the more detailed shading to this thing: [link]It worked quite well, although it was a little rushed.
I added a cheap background too.
It should be worth noting:
Realism is not what I'm really aiming for. I'm just trying to make it look better and less cartoon like. I'm just adding and emphasing details and shadows, highlights and everything.
That's a really bad explanation of what I'm trying to do, but it will have to suffice.

kinda funny you didnt make any (smooth) folds or wrinkles in the cloth of the hood, but used the same bumpyshading method as on the robot.

Yes...
It took me a little while to get to grips with the different method. The hood looks different because that's what I started on. The robe was done after, hence the difference. I got the hang of the different approach by then.
