Description
1/4 of my final colour portfolio for my intro to colour class this year at university. The entire work was 16 images in groups of four as seen here. Each group of 4 consisted of seperate 10"x10" images the fit together to make a 20"x20" narrative. Each group was respectively titled as a study according to the backdrop. This is the Green Study. Also in the series were the Blue Study, Red Study and Yellow Study.
I had a lot of fun doing these. Though it was somewhat frustrating when the first 3 hour shoot yielded blank negatives.
Always check your flash settings...
I may post some of the other "studies". Who knows. Take care everyone, and play safe.
Red Study
Blue Study

Well -- all four are being put into my favourites, but I'll just leave my comments on all of them right here:
The set up is neat, and all four scenes are incredibly amusing
I especially liked the colour setup with the shirts --- I didn't even notice it at first. Very nice with that though... it offers a balanced contrast, while staying within the same colour scheme. Clever.
Only real critique I can give for them... Hm. They could do without the shadows -- might look a little cleaner? Something... Not quite sure what the word would be.... and the shortening of limbs between squares from left to right (& vice versa) looks a bit odd -- but with the size of the squares -- which are a good size -- it' probably too small a space to do otherwise?

oooh the origional Nintendo Gun, I was the master of Duck Hunt!, now I my skills have degraded with years of stagnance, however I still shoot at that stupid, annoying, no good, rotten dog when he laughs at me, when i was little I almost tried to pistolwhip the screen a couple of times I got so frustrated at that dog, but realized it would do me no good, nor the nintendo pistol, anyway that artifact brings back great memories.

Very nice good. Very creative dude. I look at it this way.
Top leftarents freaking out that kids get ideas about killing from music and video games.
Bottom left= teenagers or really anyone of the genre of music and video games.
Bottom right=kids trying to voice a probelm and the same time a problem is happening.
Top right=Is how screwed up speaking out about what you feel can be. Thus the phone. It gets twisted and the person in the top left finds the one thing to blame it on...us. It seems like one fucked up system to me. Very nice job.

holy shit, this is super cool!!
looks like it should be an ad for a sitcom:
top left = the girl in the show that flies off the handle about everything
top right = calm dude that everyone loves kuz of his carefree attitude
bottom right = the girl that's normal and is serious about everything
bottom left = hmmm.. you'd be like the escaped convict psychopath that gives the show that fun twist! haha
and you all live in an apartment and have wacky adventures!
definately post the other studies!
PS - top right dude looks like the singer from The Starting Line

I've never evoked a response like that before I don't think. Wow.
Any reasons in particular that I can keep in the back of my mind?
