Description
This oil painting is of Hunter, a barred owl who doesn't have vision in his left eye. He resides at Wild Wings ( www.wildwingsinc.org/), a place that houses permanently injured birds, located in Mendon Ponds Park just south of Rochester, NY. I have donated this painting for an auction they are having April 11th to raise funds to help maintain the facility. I can't believe I found this. I just saw Hunter last week! He visited my Zoological and Botanical Illustration class, and I decided I'm going to draw him for my project. I saw the clouded eye, and went, "what a coincidence". Then I saw the name and went, "whAT A COINCIDENCE NO WAY".
So yeah. Howdy. I love this.

That's funny. I love visiting the Wild Wings facility... that's why I decided to donate this painting. Hopefully they will be able to bring in a little money with it.

Thanks so much. It was probably the equivalent of 2 1/2 - 3 days of full painting, but it was broken up into shorter painting sessions so hard to determine exactly.
