Old reference: Medium/Telepath OC concept

I wanted to refresh this gal a little bit. I kinda like her. But I'm not sure if I would like her as a person XD

The Backstory:
Marina Anderson is a child of Thomas Anderson, who is retired firefighter, and Connie Anderson, who is a chemist. When Marina was five years old, her parents noticed something strange in her behaviour. She said that she'd seen her deceased grandfather she'd never seen before. In addition, she thought that she could hear everything...people didn't even say. The family paid a private visit at good neurologist's. And he made discovery. Average human can use only 10% of the brain but Marina could use more than that. Her parents paid him to keep it as a secret, they didn't want her daughter to end us as media's sensation. Reading people's minds was something Marina could live with but the fact that she could see ghosts and communicate with them always bothered her. The worst terror she went through was while being on school trip to Japan. Aokigahara Forest was one of the attractions included, however, the students weren't allowed to go there. During the free time she had a bet with her friends- she had to prove that she was brave enough to go to the forest and spend there 10 minutes. And it was the worst mistake she's ever made. She didn't have to wait long until ghosts of the suicides surrounded her. And since that day she's been avoiding cementaries as far as she can.
She's currently medicine student and hopes to become a cardiac surgeon one day.

Current personality:
Marina makes an impression of a person who never cares. She happens to be pretty cold and sarcastic. When she's in good mood, she can prank other people by scaring them or making them feel confused or even uncomfortable. Sometimes does she use unfair tricks to gt what she wants (e.g. she always sat at the table right in front of the teachers who marked correct answers in their minds while checking tests from previous classes), however, she can be painfully honest and tell what she thinks of you. But she has some good traits, too. She can be very loyal and devoted friend even though she doen't express it. :3

Relationships?
She doesn't care so far. She doesn't trust most people because of their true attitudes. She can make some friends but she's not into love that much.

Occupation:
Right now she's medicine student. She'd love to be cardiac surgeon which I mentioned.

Physical details:
Body shape- Marina is very tiny, due to her lazy, stooping posture she looks pretty shapelessly. Her chest is almost flat. And sometimes she wishes her boobs wouldn't be so tiny. XD
General look- Marina is pretty short but would look taller if she straightened up. She has light brwn or even almost ginger hair and brown eyes. She has a mole over her right eyebrow. She usually wears anything that is comfortable but she likes strange fashion. And if she has a chance, she would put on some weird clothes just for fun.
Abilities:
Hmmm, her case is pretty strange. Her incredible abilities were probably caused by an accident in laboratory her mother had. Connie Anderson didn't know that she was pregnant, she found out when the doctors rescued her at hospital. The substances she breathed in affected the fetus. Since Marina can use more than 10% of her brain, she can do things average human can't acquire or develop. The strongest one is communication with ghosts. She can't control it because of its big strength. She's just forced to live with it. This power goes along with seeing segments of the past by physical contact with particular objects or even scars and wounds. The weaker ones she is able to control are reading people's minds (she has to be very close to the ones whose minds she wants to read) and even their other body sounds! She's like living polygraph, she won't overlook anything to recognise lies or hidden feeling.

Any mental disorders?
No idea if extreme fascination counts as a disorder but whatever. She is extremely fascinated by human's anatomy. It's nothing sexual, whatsoever, observing people's biological reactions to situations is what she likes. She always wonders: "Do people ever realise that they are living organisms? Do they ever pay attention to their hearts beating, their breaths and muscle contractions? Do they know that their veins and nerves are like one big, twisted highway? Do they know what hormones are emited when they are happy or scared?". She observes people a lot and it leads to some misunderstandings between her and her interlocutor. For example: very often she happens to spot someone’s carotid pulse beating in their neck while they’re trying to talk to her and finds herself staring instead of listening. Some interlocutors are bright enough to notice it and find her being creepy. Some of you could simply call her a cardiophile X'D
