I've had a liking for THE WAR OF THE WORLDS for the longest time, and I decided to do my own spin on the original "octopus" design.I kinda went for a bit of a classic "50's" feel (i.e. "big brain monster with big, boogly eyes"), with a modern twist. The tripod look was intentional, incorporating some aspect of the '05 film. I also threw in a few personal touches here and there, like the nostrils and spines atop the head. The red I felt was a fitting color, as I always picture a Martian sporting read in some form, be it uniform or skin color. Plus, it kinda makes it a little more menacing.

This is my inner nerd here, but it sort of reminds me of a Grell from Dungeons and Dragons. Still a really cool creature. Great job!
