Description
I was curious as to how a gesso board would compare with a regular stretched canvas, so I threw some paint on one. Of course, I went with a Brain Matter (one of my surreal depictions of a creature(?) made of a brain and spinal cord), for the subject. Itβs not entirely different enough to warrant a preference between the two, but it was nice to give it a test drive.

Eh, it's sorta in that vein, given my penchant for weird creatures. But for all intents and purposes, I'm just enjoying the surreality of making an image of something relatively familiar (a brain and spinal cord) portrayed in such a weird fashion.
Plus, given the deliberately blank background, it kinda adds a bit of mystery to what and where this thing actually is.
