Description
A long over-due sketch I oweShortly after starting a free-sketch deal, I came up with this design for Zilla, and Groudan made a request for a Zilla redesign. Talk about timing.
I may make a few more tweaks to the design, so this is a conceptual piece for G-Wars Zilla.
And yes, I looked at a picture of an iguana to make this design. Iguanas do not have Jay Leno chins.

Now that Zilla right there, that one is the most badass design and the monster itself isΒ the shit.

Wow, very awesome looking, stays true to the original but brings him back to his base creature... like everyone wants. This is really well done. If you haven't already, I think coloring it would look spectacular.

Thank you for getting rid of that big chin! Lolz!
I never knew for sure if I thought the big chin looked good on her or if it was ugly. I also don't know whether to call her a HE or a SHE! Since she's an iguana...I started looking into science to solve my problems like I always do...I figured out the first Zilla was a she. Maybe I should just call her an IT.
Also Zilla Jr. appearantly can't reproduce...for some birth defect...I call him a boy...this is confusing...

I never did like the movie and cartoon explanations (asexual reproduction and birth defect) behind it all because they were done so with lack of common sense.
However, I always say Movie-Zilla was female and preggo prior to mutating, and Cartoon-Zilla was male because he seemed more agressive, especially with his ability to breathe fire. That, and he had that [tragically short] relationship with Komodithrax, who is, for a fact, female.

Oh yeah! I forgot about Komodithrax...another thing about the lack of common sense...Komodoithrax is a komodo dragon...and Zilla is an iguana...
And the first Zilla couldn't have...it was just an egg, it wasn't even born yet.

An excellent redesign, solves the "chicken legs" of Zilla. I guess my only issue is that the spines aren't their normal, reversed-sharkfin style. But these new spines look good on this one and fit very well.

Whoa!?
I've gotta say this is a HUGE step up for a Zilla design, sweet work on the spines and head.

great redesign, but I would make the head a little bigger. Will you be inking and coloring this?

Awesome! Love the blad/spine look, makes him look more like his own kaiju instead of a slim Godzilla.
