Description Just some stuff I have observed while learning to paint.

Effects you can get from just changing up the value and saturation of your color. This is all monochromatic (one hue only) and I'm not saying that this is a great way to render your objects, since that would assume that they operate independently one from another, which definitely is not the case. There are other things to take into account when painting objects, such as how the light bounces off of the other objects present in the vicinity, etc. But this gives an idea of how to get various effects without using a lot of fancy brushes.

Like I say in the guide, I just use the standard hard round brush that comes with Photoshop.

I'm glad you like it! It's so old, I should do something new, but there's this thing called school that eats up all my time...

School you say? Yeah I definitely understand that.

This mini-guide may be a bit old, but the principles are there and they hold up nicely. Thanks again!

You confused "highlight" and "shadow" under "silky."

This is very useful. Thank you!
