Very interesting. I especially like the independent(?) Florida with a Blue Ensign as its national flag.

As a map it's excellent, though I'm not sure I see the steampunk theme (I realise it's hard to convey that in just a map alone).
Also, while I really like the idea of having the flags waving at the top, something about the angle just seems slightly...off to me.
