Hey guys! Long time no see, eh? Unfortunately I don't have much time to draw things outside of the comic these days... but here is something I did for a Banjo-Kazooie collab (which you can find out more about here: docs.google.com/document/d/1jY⦠There are some minor characters and Jinjos left if you want to hop on board!). I'm really happy with how far I've come recently in both drawing and coloring. I'd like to do some direct re-draws of older stuff sometime soon to show the difference.Bullion Bill & Dilberta are from Banjo-Tooie. (c) Rareware

Hah hah, I really appreciate the pun in the title here.
First of all, why am I the first to learn about these things? I did not know about the collab and I am deeply ashamed with myself. D8
And yeah, I really can see quite an improvement in terms of how you render your lines. Those are some nice looking brushes you're using there. (assuming of course they're digital brushes and not something traditional; correct me if I'm wrong.) I also like the grittiness in the way that you colored both of these guys; it really fits their grimy environment.
I think one miner critique (hah hah, I kill myself) I have is that there are some tangents where the miner's mustache hits the his little squeaky buddy. I would either put the mustache behind the mouse or possibly extend the lines a bit so that the tips of his mustache don't rest exactly where the spelunker's hat lines go.

Yeah, even by the time I saw it, all the more important characters had been taken. But it gave me an excuse to draw some guys I like, but wouldn't have picked if, say, King Jingaling or Jolly were open. (I actually drew the Stonies even before this! You can submit multiple entries, as long as you get one done before choosing another.)
Ah, you're right, thanks. I already submitted this, so I don't know if I can change it, but I appreciate you pointing it out. I try to catch tangents but sometimes they slip past me.
(And yeah, I've been using rougher brushes in the past half-year or so, but they are digital. All of my lineart recently has been in Manga Studio because I'm just in love with it and its inking tools.)
