man when it comes to eyes i cheat a lil ->
cut out eye hole-layer behind , for lighter eye colour/triangles-white then make opaque till colour needed
saves lota clipping and i can move the eyes if needed ^_^
n i cheat with out line->
vector body shapes , colour copy minus lines - paste minus colour then ctrl+alt+C (sets line to be a shape (good for resizing to stay uniform)

Yeah, it recently clicked for me that Stroke To Path can be a serious timesaver. It makes tapered strokes so much easier (StP -> Break End Connection -> Merge End Nodes -> Adjust).

Is there a clone equivalent in Photoshop? Clone stamp is ... probably not it, or I don't know how to use it effectively.
