*heads up if you make a community emote you will automaticly recive notifications every time that your emote is used, you can disable this feature.
- Mentions notifications can be enabled or disabled from the Settings page .
- Mentions notifications can be disabled for individual deviations. To do so, click the arrow button that appears on the top right corner of a Mentions notification for the deviation you want disabled. Is it possible to submit an entire folder of emotes in one submission, or will that not work?

Not that I know of. If you were to submit a large file of works they would require one preview image and you would be unable to view such a file on da. Regrettably if I am grasping the question you can only load one file per deviation on da.

It seems that you have submitted both of your emotes into 150x150 pixel section, these will not show up in the add media because they are too large. The smaller one you could probably crop and resubmit in the 50x50 or 25x25 section as these are the only ones that will show in the add media sections.

I am guessing that this is the item that you wanted to submit. Even though you are able to submit it in the up to 100 pixel works it will not show up in the + add media section because the actual dimensions of the work are 70x50 pixels and it has a strict limit of 50x50 pixels to show up in the menu.

I am sure you will get the hang of it. You can always use the thumb code... you just wont be able to search for it.

How do you make the emoticon 50x50 size? I am using Wondershare Filmora to edit the gif but it won't let me make it that small. Is there another way to do that?

Amarantheans In reply to HootMcFaints [2018-02-21 12:51:09 +0000 UTC]
I am unfamiliar with that program, I personally use Gimp which is free to download from gimp.com and they allow you to dictate the size of your file. If you have a mac, you can open it in preview and adjust the size there, but I am unsure for windows.

Alright. I have both a mac and a windows, so I might be able to export my file to the mac and adjust the file size there. Thank you for replying!
This was the emoticon I originally made, but it was too big to use in the emoticon gallery:
I will try to work on it some more and fix the size.

Only 50x50 sized images animate. Also, you have to wait for a while for it to show up in the Add Media section.

i cant upload because it says "This type of file is not allowed"
It clearly is 150x150, i did a large one, its a gif, and yet I CANT UPLOAD ;-;

Amarantheans In reply to theromosdos [2017-12-22 16:39:54 +0000 UTC]
Most gif files that would be what you are looking to upload, would be too large of a file for the preview box. What you need to do is take a screenshot of a portion of the item and make your preview image and your actual file the same format (i.e. gif)
here is an example:

How odd, my image is 50x50, I added it to the right category, and it still won't show up. Did i do something else wrong, or maybe it takes time to load?
here it is:
EDIT: Oh nevermind, I somehow missed that last note in your description where you said it takes time. Thanks a lot for the tutorial!

1.Hi(to )
(OMG!It sounds like Amaterasu in Jeans or like the German name"Hans" )
2.I see,you are a nice and helpful girl to others
3.My problem:
Im from Germany and use the English text of Gimp.
So far so good till here!
But:
If I colour an image fanart with Gimp,
I click"Colour to alpha",then my fanart dissapear behind a grey-checkered pattern.
No layer is created till this moment.
Then,I use to open my first layer, calling it"White",
I push down the buttom"White, instead of transparency".
Now my drawing disappear behind a white paper.
Now I search"Dockable dialogues and layer"
A window opened, and I change the white layer with the grey checkered pattern area.
Et voila,my drawing appear!
Now I creating my second(3)layer,calling it"Face",and I push the button"Transparence".
Now I have separated my contours from the background and can
colour the picture, without deleting the contours, they still are.
A big sucess till here
3a.But my real problem starts here:
I colour like a tired dog for hours my drawing.
I cannot understand, how to use more layers and how the computer recognized the
single parts of body.
(I cannot understand, how someone make the layer"Ribbon",and how the computer
recognized that and let only colour the ribbon,
everything other cannot be touched.
After my second(with the grey checked pattern area number 3)layer,
I have open the new area, calling it head and click the button"Background".
But nothing happens to the drawing!
3b.I am 31years old and not a stupid person!
But I am frustrated
I cannot handle with the layers and if somebody explains it on internet,
I cannot understand it
I cannot also using the lassotool,to seperated single parts of the body,to colour it,
seperated from the other bodyparts to spare time.
I have big problems to make the layer"Arm"(as example)and that I the computer let me colour
only the arm.
3b.1.I cannot handle this"visible"and"unvisible",its too difficult for me
4.All I want,is to colour my picture MUCH MORE FASTER,
in a properly way.
5.If I have problems to use layers on my drawing,
so I cannot understand, how I can make layerframes in Gimp for Emoticons.
5a.If i doesnt understand, the first step of the tutorial,
so I cannot make the rest.
I need somebody to help me!
I need, that someone explains me the Gimp layers,
as easy as possible.
No,I am not a moron or idiot !
6.I have big problems make also Gifs on"Gif maker",
where it is explain easy

I found a simple tutorial on youtube that I think can help you... www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrVnI3…
He explains layers at the simplest level and will help you. Once you understand that the checkered background is truly transparency.

Thank you
This stupid guy talks too fast,
I think,I look another video.
It s enough for me,if I use the magicwand and colourbucket in Gimp,
to colour a picture quickly and proper
