I guess most of you already know this stuff, but I had a conversation with the other day and she asked me about layers, so I thought it would be easier to explain if I made a tutorial like thing about it with actual screenshots.I use the Hungarian version of Photoshop CS2.
You need a tablet if you wanna draw in PS like that.
This "tutorial" is mostly about how to make a sketch on a separate layer without it "disappearing" and how to turn an already existing digital or traditional lineart into a separate layer ready to be coloured.
PS: I like to overcomplicate things! XD;;; Still, I tried to make this as simple and understandable as I could. But if you still have questions, ask!
PPS: I know I'd been asked to do a tutorial about drawing human characters, but I still don't think I'm good enough to do a tutorial about that, sorry...
Will be scrapped later.

nice! while I already knew how to create layers, this is still helpful cause I can use some of what you showed us to hopefully create better, cleaner linearts, which will then mean better colored pictures

hahaha I just had my first exam... European literature...
I mixed up the realism authors with the symbolysm authors... Ouch
Pretty much 90% of the students had to redo this exam lol, the professor came and gave a tiny speech before the exam: "I hope you guys pass this time... I wanna show some good results to my collegues someday. And one more thing! Don't circle all the answers in the multiple choice questions!!! That's not possible!"
