No, I have not abandoned wire work - not by any means. This is one of those pieces to show that yes, I've been busy.

This piece is a "sunset topaz," a white topaz that has been cut using curved facets to make the colors even deeper and wilder. This stone is, well, big. Very big. But I love it.

Someone once offered me some good money for it if I'd re-wrap it in gold for them. But I think the silver makes for a better setting.
