Where did you get that color pallete/guide that had Scootaloo & others on it? I recall seeing a similar looking one but with Applejack. That looks like it'd be REALLY useful ^^

mlpvc-rr.ml/colorguide/1 This is better but still missing a lot of old characters (link to the old guide is a the top)

Good tutorial - maybe you can help me with my problem I'm facing with Ponyscape for the moment. Somehow, moving strokes/nodes is annoying as hell, it seems to be impossible to move them smooth or just a bit or just one node and not both nodes at the ends. With Inkscape, that weren't problems at all - do I miss some important settings?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ambassad0r In reply to Tianera [2014-09-16 15:51:43 +0000 UTC]

You might select 2 nodes by clicking between, I mostly use area select (even for a single node, sometimes with shift for selecting more). As for smooth moving, I don't really know. Although, you can try to set step size for moving nodes with arrow keys (Edit - Preferences - Behavior - Steps).

Tianera In reply to Ambassad0r [2014-09-17 06:28:35 +0000 UTC]

Thanks a lot Is there any setting, that prevents the stroke ends getting rounded with the power stroke filter? Tried tapering as described in your second tutorial, but my strokes were like meh fuck that round end I will stay as before. Zero width worked, but that was too thin.. argh, that vectoring is much more tricky than "normal" digital drawing >.<

Ambassad0r In reply to Tianera [2014-09-17 12:05:05 +0000 UTC]

Did you set settings for power strokes as shown in the second part (plus caps to zero width)?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Tianera In reply to Ambassad0r [2014-09-17 14:04:56 +0000 UTC]

So, after doing that step with a test stroke a few times, I found my mistake - if the miter limit is too low, the other settings won't help. So my bad ^^# Sorry for bothering you und thanks for answering anyway

I'm allowed to change the Miter, but the end of the stroke stays the same

Ambassad0r In reply to LunicAura106 [2014-06-06 09:16:58 +0000 UTC]

To make a stroke tapered, you need to apply power stroke path effect which is explained in the second part.

how do you select all of the ones with same width/colors without selecting the ones which are supposed to be different??
with selecting, i use the 'select and drag' but when there are other strokes in beetween, i select them too..... help!

Holding down Shift you can make multiple selection.

Hey, I was just wandering if Ponyscape is anything like Inkscape?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ambassad0r In reply to SarionDeathScythe [2014-03-13 13:10:39 +0000 UTC]

Basically, it's a derivative of Inkscape (beta build) and pretty much looks the same.

I been having some minor troubles. Mostly it never stays on the vector layer when editing vector lines. Instead, it basically deselects the layer and goes to the root layer, meaning all the lines I did afterward were just a waste because they weren't on the same layer.

Ambassad0r In reply to Gariandos [2014-03-06 17:35:28 +0000 UTC]

Have you locked down the other layer?

Gariandos In reply to Ambassad0r [2014-03-06 18:17:11 +0000 UTC]

The base layer? Yes.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ambassad0r In reply to Gariandos [2014-03-06 19:17:50 +0000 UTC]

Hm, I dunno, with 2 layers and one of them locked, it should always do everything on the unlocked one.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Gariandos In reply to Ambassad0r [2014-03-06 19:45:10 +0000 UTC]

Well, whenever I finish editing a curve, it always goes to a layer called "root", which is greyed out and doesn't appear in the layer box but rather in the layer name below the page.

I've never encountered such thing. You can ask about it in the , maybe they can help you.

I cannot seem to to make the the pointy corners by increasing the miter limit. It's still boxy. I use Gimp.
