I sure hope this submits correctly, since i've been using a crappy old scanner and a crappy old comp :^/This is the preliminary sketch for a pic of Sherlock Hound and Irene Adler, from the Miyazaki cartoon Meitantei Holmes/Sherlock Hound, for Skye-Chan!
In canon as well as non-canon writings and artwork, she is THE woman, the ONLY woman to have been postulated as arousing romantic feelings in the Great Detective, and his undying admiration by being the only opponent to ever outsmart him.Original Holmes/Adler (c) Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

I've been on a Holmes literary kick for awhile, especially Great Mouse Detective. ^^ Seeing this made me smile; it's very beautifully done, even if old like you've said. ^^ Visually stunning, I'd say, too.
