Description This was actually something I've really been wanting to draw for a while. I thought I would make it look like a picture of their family if they were in our world during their time, hence, the early 1900s vintage photo effect. Recently, I found out that in Hiromu Arakawa's "FMA Chronicle "(SPOILER) she reveals that after Edward comes back home from the west, he and Winry get married at 19 and they have many children. This got me super fangirl giddy 'cause this means they had more than the two we see in the family picture ! Ed and Winry didn't waste no time. So, the drunk FMA-obsessed part of my brain cooked up some EdWin fanchildren. I even named them and it was so much fun! (From left to right) Meet Perenelle, Nina, Nicholas, Leon, and Michael. I'll list my reasons for them later. You can pretty much tell the eldest to the youngest by their heights, I guess. Anyway, you probably stopped reading this a long time ago so just Enjoy!

Oh, man. You and me both, sister. You can buy it off Amazon or a Japanese shop online but it hasn't been translated into English yet. I've been looking for it for like, forever but...yeah. There's some blogs where people post scans of the Chronicle up and translate those if that works for you.

Thank you! Yeah. Edward and Winry are my OTP so I had like a fan-seizure when I found out. I just love how they mention these little behind-the-scenes snippets to show fans what they had in mind after the story ended.

i love this the outfits and characters are amazing

just out of curiosity though, have you ever played resident evil 2 or 4? because aside from the gold eyes, you made leon look a lot like the leon in the resident evil games. LOL JUST WONDERING
this is so fabulous (my favorite outfit is nina's )

Thank you very much! I'm glad you like it. Really? He does? Oh well, I've never actually played Resident Evil before. And I didn't know that there was a guy named Leon in it either. I based the majority of Leon's facial features from Winry and his hair from Edward. That's a weird coincidence.

HaHAH! Rarely do I see an artist depicting the Elric family expanding beyond the two children shown in the end of the series, so I tend to get uber-excited when I find one that does like you did right here. So many fans do not read the extra materials. Of course, for some reason I don't even see them stopping at five. Heck, Winry and Ed both have a lot of awesomeness going on, they are practically required to breed like rabbits to pass on the good genes.

I always enjoy seeing EdWin family fanart too but it's rare to actually find one. That's probably why I'm so addicted to drawing them. I'm really glad you like it. Haha I agree. I wouldn't blame them if they kept making more. They have too much awesomeness to just contain within a small family.

I like your refrences! i know Perenelle, Nicholas, and Nina but not 100% sure on Leon and Michael. Aren't those the Ishbalans that ran into Al in Central in episode 24?

VERY nice. Good job on catching those references! You're quite awesome. Were those their names? I honestly don't remember. I haven't seen the original FMA series in forever. I base all my fanart on Brotherhood's story line. But anyway, yeah it's obvious were I got "Nina" from. "Perenelle" and "Nicholas" are almost as obvious. I based "Leon" off a city in Spain were Nicholas Flamel met and cared for a man who was one of the main contributors to his journey. I could've named Leon after the man but his name is pretty complicated and didn't seem to fit. I named "Michael" after Michael Moorcock (LOL at his last name) who was the creator of the series Elric of Melnibone of whom Hiromu Arakawa actually based Edward off of. A little FMA fun-fact I found out which is pretty cool. So there you go. Those are basically were I got their names from.

Well, the clothing would be more of a 1920s (or even 30s) styl. But the boys are handsome, like their dad and the girls, beautiful (ditto).
I think Ed makes a drunken pact with Al (well, Al doesn't remember it because he was pasted) that "between us two, Amestris will be a**-deep in Elrics."

You really know your historical fashion. I tried making them look as early 20th century as I could. It took a lot of Googling. Haha I'm glad you like the kids. I can imagine if Edward and Alphonse actually did make that pact. Al and Mei probably would get it on like rabbits. LOL.

*faves*...*goes and faves pt.2 while she's at it*....I so have to get the guide thing if it gets translated! >.< sometimes I wish I knew Japanese!!!! Anywhoo....I'm totally working on an EdWin fanfic at the moment and in it they're getting ready to have child #1...and one of my reviewers told me that they thought Ed and Winry were getting pregnant awfully quick...glad to know that they aren't...technically....Anyway enough about me...sorry....

Leon looks a lot like Al...(just sayin') which is totally awesome! (and he's so cute!!!) The boys are all so handsome and the girls are both very pretty! I love all of the detail you put into everything! It's such a beautiful drawing!!! I'm totally inspired to get back to work on my fanfic!!! (I just need a name for the baby!!!! DX ) The outfits are also beautiful! And I like how you made Ed and Winry look older without actually making them look old...!

Anyway...beautifully done! I'm sure I can keep going, but I'd be surprised if you made it this far...lol...so I guess that's all...

Haha ditto on the learning Japanese. Why do they have all the fun? LOL. Aww your fanfic sounds cute! I'd like to read it sometime. Yeah...I didn't know how similar Leon looked to Al until I put it up here. It almost looks like I'm implying something... LOL. Drawing Ed and Winry as young adults was a little difficult because for one thing, they're about 34-35 in this picture and finding a way to make them look older without looking too old was a bit challenging. And another thing, my sister is around this age and if I made them look any older she would kill me. Anyway! I'm really glad you like my fanchildren and all their features and I appreciate your awareness to the detail. It's people like you that inspire me to draw more.
