I did a model making and special effects course when I was at uni and made this little guy.Edit:
THIS IS NOT REAL. It is made by creating a chavant sculpt, moulding in fiberglass and casting in platinum silicone which you can buy from mouldlife [link] I would never cause harm or distress to an animal.

Hi there thanks for the interest The silicone used to make this octopus cost me Β£300 so I won't be making anymore of these sorry it was a one off uni project xxx

Well, I figured that even if it was real, it wasn't you trying to deliberately cause stress. My mom teaches biology and students bring her dead things a lot that wind up stored in formaldehyde and used to teach, later.
Anyway, I really like it's eyes.

Hey there yes I do still have the mould and Iβve wanted to make new ones for ages but the silicone is very expensive but one day Iβll make some for sale. I went to Hertfordshire Uni and did Model Design and Special Effects for 3 years and then a post graduates in animation at Central Saint Martins. I saw your elephant in the daily deviations then some more of your work appeared in my facebook news stream because we both know Kish so I thought Iβd have a closer look

Hey there I know Kish through Uni we both went to the University of Hertfordshire I did model making and special effects and he did animation and now weβve swapped cos I did animation at csm and heβs doing model making and special effects! Right now Iβm teaching myself ZBrush and beefing up my Photoshop portfolio I want to get into VFX but this time digital. You can see a tiny animation of a jellyfish I did in flash and a stop motion piece I did at cartoon network on my blog but thatβs all I have Iβm afraid I never put any of my saint martins work up on the net, it was all really grainy line tests since I did hand drawn stuff. Any way nice to internet meet you Dave say hi to Kish for me

Haha hey thankyou for reading the description and not having a go at me! I would never put a live octopus in a jar or cause any harm or distress to an animal. I am planing to make more of these and have a collection to put in my room when I do I will probably put up some process pictures so people don't get confussed anymore. Thankyou for the nice comment
