Description About This Setting
The Repel value controls how much a rigid body pushes against another when they collide. I suppose it's a bit like Newton's Third law in that regard: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If you push on a wall, the wall also pushes on you. This setting controls how strong it is. And it's a very sensitive setting, too, which is why this is the only setting I'm actually going to give some specific numbers for.

I would not recommend turning this higher than 0.05 if you think you need to have this on your rigid bodies. I've seen models with this setting turned up on the boob physics, but when it's too high, the slightest nudge will send her boobs halfway to the moon. Unless you are confident that you know what you're doing, I strongly advise you to just leave this one on 0.

The first time you see this, it's freaky. Once you get used to it, it's freaking hilarious. All the rigid bodies controlled by gravity are trying to flee but they're held back by the joints that connect them, so they can only go so far. It kind of makes me think of an extremely paranoid germaphobe. Remember that scene in Monster's Inc where they're all freaked out over the little human kid? To the point that Mike goes as far as spraying disinfectant into his eye? Yeah, when this setting gets cranked up to the extreme, the rigid bodies tend to freak out at even the slightest contact with another rigid body. It's like they're going "AAAHDONTTOUCHME!!! *insert muppet flailing*"

Miku vs Repel Miku
Repel Miku. What are you doing? Repel Miku. STAHP!
I don't think I really need to go into further detail about what we're seeing here. The GIF speaks for itself.
Fun fact: Normally, when I do still renders, I just pose the model's body and I use the physics engine to take care of things like hair, skirts, ribbons, coats, etc. But in order to avoid spoilers, I actually left the physics OFF for the intro render of this tutorial and posed everything manually.
