I'm printing this out o^o
I've got a lot of trouble with characters. I can't seem to see the whole picture, only the details, so I never can tell how the readers will see them. Do you have any tips on that?

Tips? Uhh Cover a whole sheet of paper with info/background/etc for one character I guess XD; One for each of the cast?

Great tutorial. Works for stories that aren't comics as well.
I hate spontaneous personality swings though. And minor characters that don't say anything. Especially in comics where you can see them so it looks like they're stalking the main characters. XD

Yeah, a lot of people can use these tips. DX I see waayyyy too many flat, cookie-cutter characters in webcomics (and not mentioning everything else) lately. Sigh...
If you decide to do another tutorial, I think you should cover parts of stories that are badly done very often. LIKE INTRODUCTIONS. D8 I could go on a super long rant as to why a lot of people screw it up and one of the best ways to go about introductions alone. DX
Anyway, your tuts are awesome so far and I'm sure they're helping a lot of people. ;D And your cutesy drawing of yourself is starting to freak me out. I'm so used to you drawing yourself looking angry. XD;;;;

Ahaha I could do one geared specifically towards yaoi comics, and a big chunk of that would be characters >>;; It is hard to break out of that particular mold, though. I fight SNE tooth and claw DX

Umm... both, but mostly for characters. Or maybe I just see too many comics with characters starting off whining when we don't even care about them yet, or nonexistent character intros (like a case I saw once, where they introduced the transfer student and plot before the main character XD;
