"Krampus"

Nanuqsaurus hoglundi. A digital painting of a male Nanuqsaurus, catching the sight of something in the distance during the long Alaskan winter. I have decided to name him, Krampus.

I came up with this idea soon after Christmas 2019 when I was looking at an illustration of Krampus by Craig J. Spearing (I think). Working on it, it slowly morphed into the idea of a Nanuqsaurus painting I had a few years ago, but poorly executed.

Krampus will be an addition to my boogeymen themed Mesozoic characters, from Baba Yaga to Slenderdactyl (both of whom will return in new acrylic paintings at some point this year). I do have another acrylic painting that needs to be finished (I just moved and had to put it on the backburner).

Completed in mid-January 2020.
