Description
"Lazy Ceratosaurus"Ceratosaurus nasicornis. A digital painting of a ceratosaurus doing what I usually do on a couch in front of the TV. This was originally done for the banner of The Dinosaur News Center's website; "Dinosaur Couch" [link]
I was about to post the file here almost a month ago but my old computer somehow messed up the file and I could not salvage it. So I ended up redoing it but a persistent problem on my old Acer laptop (it kept shutting down whenever I used PS CS5) forced me to wait until I got a new computer to finish it.
And here it is.
Completed on the 29th of February 2012.
Done using pencils and Photoshop CS5.

I love how endearing you made this dino look! It always bugs me how often people depict dinosaurs looking overwhelmingly sinister and bloodthirsty, when they were organisms just like any other, fighting for their survival. It's not their fault they were gigantic and had huge teeth to match.

This is wonderful. The pose is great and colors are fantastic. It would be funny if he was digging into a bowl of tiny creatures and chomping on 'em like popcorn. Outstanding work tho.
