"Revealing it All"Avril Lavigne. I finally finished my first airbrush painting, meaning I just popped my airbrush cherry
. Came out a little better than I expected but it was a new experience. I tried my best to conserve as much detail of the original pencil work but i ended up setting an amount of paint that obscured the detail. I actually had to redetail her face, thats why it looks different from the original .I painted Avril first then moved on to the background and had some other problems with the masking tape when I was painting the background. I have no idea how the paint seeped underneath and mixed with the goddamn adhesive!@!@!@! That didn't happen earlier or didn't happen again... So strange. Then, I had to repaint the affected areas
But I never realized how easy it was to paint hair with these airbrush acrylics. You can get those hair/tendril shapes so easily! I'm going to use these colors to paint hair from now on
Well, it's done and I'm moving on to my Boarcroc piece
Done using an airbrush and airbrush acrylics.
Completed on the 14th of January 2011.

If the paint seeps into the adhesive its usually because the adhesive wasnt taped secure enough or the paper you are using is to absorbent, or you were working too wet. I avoid this by taking the tape off if Im going to work more wet.

I kinda guessed that as the blade I was using to cut the sections had become dull and didn't make clean cuts. So when I removed the sections, it loosened the surrounding masking film's grip...
