"Who Wore it Better?"
Tarbosaurus bataar. A digital painting of Genevieve Morton appraising the feathery mane of my Tarbosaurus, Khan.
This began as a joke that started on a fellow paleoartist’s Facebook feed. A picture of an unfinished painting of Khan with his mane flowing in the air popped up above a picture of Genevieve Morton in one of her Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit shoots, also with her hair flowing in the wind. He wrote the statement, “who wore it better?” Finding it hilarious, I posted the screenshot onto Instagram and tagged Ms. Morton, who jokingly replied “The Dino, of course.”

The idea of depicting the two of them together had been something of a joke I had on my brain for the past five years. So, I decided to work on it during the COVID-19 quarantine. What started out as a joke turned into a surprisingly fun and cool painting that channeled Lady Godiva.
Completed on the 20th of March 2020.

It's a Tarbosaurus. While some people consider that a species of Tyrannosaurus rather than a different genus, they still consider it a different species than T.rex, namely T. bataar ( yep, that one works no matter if it is a different genus or just a different species )
