Description
"The Ballerina from Hell"
Tyrannosaurus rex. A digital drawing of a Tyrannosaurus making a swift turn while pursuing prey.
This drawing was based on some research showing large bodied tyrannosaurids were probably much more maneuverable than other large theropods.
I did the initial sketch a few months ago but did not get around to fleshing it out more until now. I just wanted to give this a toned drawing look, rather than a detailed painting of the animal.
Completed on the 12th of November 2018.
Done using Photoshop CC and pencils.

I would say the Rex was quite the extremist when it came to pursuing prey, moving swiftly and turning on a dime like a boss!

But the question is... were they even capable of running like this or was the swift turn done in a very fast walk, as recent evidence suggests?

Not too hard to imagine the apex predator to possess this kind of agility
