Description
"The Inquisitor"Tyrannosaurus rex. An acrylic painting I did last week in anticipation of the National Geographic Channel's tyrannosaur themed documentaries; T.rex Autopsy, Dino Death Match and Ultimate Dino Survivor. I probably won't get to see these shows for a while until someone uploads them onto Youtube or until the DVDs will be released.
This piece evolved from my original idea, which was more foreboding in nature. I will produce another piece more faithful to that concept in a few weeks or so.
Completed on the 1st of May 2015.
Done using acrylics, watercolor pencils and pastels.

First off, really like the art, and two, don't hate me for making this. Okay, let's get this started. So, first off, I love the Tyrannosaurian look, and the scars look impressive on him, if I do say so myself. However, I can't help but feel the feathers are too much. We know Tyrannosaur babies had feathers, but adults didn't, at least, to our knowledge. I, however, like the feathers on it, seems to put the picture together. Also, you didn't add that much detail to the back of it's body, I know it's a shadow, but at least add some outlines of scars or muscles, you just left it black...Anyway, still love the picture, really original in my view, and perfect body structure.

Well, the feathers are a male thing for my Tyrannosauruses, sexual display.
And the leaving the shadowed parts blank is a style I'm exploring. It worked better here though;
