Hey Hey, that's my boi! This is really great, I love the shading and the composition, it gives the picture a nice movement to it. I just love the Simbati/ Tsavi pair, they go well together.
Do you have any tips on using the blur effect? I tried and I fear I might have failed miserably

Tips? I don't know what program your using. I'm using Adobe Photoshop. The technique I used for blurring this one is fairly simple. I had to use two layers.
I had my entire drawing on one layer once it was finished (I merged everything together). I then copied that layer. With the new layer on top of the other one, I used the gaussian blur filter, which blurs everything uniformly. I blurred the image as much as I wanted the background to be blurred. Then, with a very soft brush, I set the brush-mode to "clear" (or erasing would work too) and carefully erased the top layer wherever I wanted the crisp, clear, "normal" layer to show through!
Does that make sense?
