Sometime back the idea for this picture was pitched to me amongst a few others. All mighty fine ideas, but this one stuck out to me the most because I could actually see it (if that makes sense). It wasn't until I actually saw Frozen that I caught a fire (heh-heh) for this picture and set off to do it, and I am so very glad that I did. Doing this was probably the most fun I have had in a while, and I think that's 'cause of a lot of reasons. First time drawing Elsa, drawing a better Sub-Zero, doing it all digitally and getting more into coloring and lighting...this entire thing was pretty much like playing in...well, snow for me.
That last bit makes sense if you've ever seen me play in the snow.

Yea, i agree; Elsa and Sub-zero are the perfect cool couples haahahahaha, get it, "cool".
The look at Sub-zero when teaching Elsa; perhaps he's very impress at how Elsa got the hand of controlling her ice powers. And why not...Elsa was born with those powers. She only needed someone to teach her all about it.
In fact...i love those crossover couple...then i decide to make a story about those 2.
Over all...great picture you made here. You must do another one, one with Sub-Zero meeting Anna and Olaf.
A funny scene would be Sub-Zero doing his -'Friendship'-, where he converts himself into a Snowman. I bet thats gonna bring laughs and joys to Elsa and Anna. Especially to Olaf, who he'll ended up calling him brother.

I wonder if Frozen is any good. I was slightly put off by knowing it's a musical and by the fact the characters remind me of Barbie.

Personally, I think Frozen is amazing. But being a Disney movie, there is some of the familiar formula in there (music, some character design). They did throw in some big surprises along with that formula, though.

It is so awesome. Not sure but Sub-Zero looks like he is impressed by her skills, or if he thinks that Elsa is absolutely gorgeous. Either way your work us so cool it is ice cold.

there's something about the softer, watered down colours and the pencily art lines that really bring about nostalgic feelings...it's awesome is what I mean!
