Description So, after not mapping anything in awhile, here's a new GBA FE style map! I finished this some time ago, but I edited it a little and just never got around to actually putting it on here.

Anyway, it's not a battle map this time, but rather a cutscene map for chapter 3 of my Fire Emblem fic. It is where Ike and company discover the cave where Azura is being held captive.

I've seen a few people say that this resembles the map in FE7 where Eliwood gets Durandal. But I swear this was unintentional. I haven't even gotten that far in the game and I'd never seen that map until someone showed it to me to point out the similarities, so yeah.

Also, I would have preferred to use a lighter colored mountain base tile to the right of the cave entrance, but such a tile doesn't actually exist for some reason, so this was the best I could do. xP

Lastly, I have decided to create a new maps folder in the DoD Community group since I've got a good few maps and they really deserve their own folder about now.

Hey there, I just noticed this in my inbox. Anyhow, this is an interesting piece. I like the way you arranged the terrain, and the backstory you give in the description. And, I can see why people say this resembles the cave where Eliwood gets Durandal. I haven't revisited that scene in some years, but I DO remember it looking like an out-of-the-way little corner, like this. I am wondering, though, if a few things might be done to add to this. Doesn't the cave lead to...ahem...where Azura makes that big discovery? Perhaps you can add in that, following this scene, she unexpectedly discovers some clue to her past? Another possibility, though this might be better suited for a comic, is to get the bandits in here. Perhaps you could have their marching animation sprites, and Azura's heading towards the cave? Like I said though, maybe that's better suited for the comic. I'm sorry I don't have much else to say, it's been a long day and I'm quite tired. We'll talk more in the morning, and I'm looking forward to it.

Ah, thanks, Falchion. ^^

And yeah, this is the cave that leads to those ruins. And the scene with the bandits takes place INSIDE the cave, so there would be no reason to place them on this map.

And don't worry, I understand. You said a good deal here, so yeah. Thanks again, Falchion.

Okay. I DO think that mentioning how this cave leads to a big discovery (though, without giving too much away) would be a good idea. I'll let you make that call though.

Mentioning it in the description or a comic?

I'll have to think about it. Still trying to finish AUC part 4 at the moment. xP
