PERSONALITY:

Cactus has a rather smug and laid-back personality, being also a bit flirty at times. He is considered very handsome by SandWing standards and could also be considered a ladies man. Though one day he met a beautiful female SandWing named Lotus and fell in love with her. He is funny, witty, charming, selfless, compassionate, gentle, and friendly. He becomes genuinely concerned when he sees someone in trouble or seemingly in suffering, and his voice becomes gentle instead of playful. He cares about other dragons deeply and is very sympathetic towards them, often trying to help whenever he can.

Even after the loss of many of his family, friends and mate because of the War of SandWing succession, he still retains his positive and cheerful attitude, as he believes his loved ones would like to see him happy instead of mourning and suffering for them, but he can still become sad and thoughtful whenever he thinks of Lotus.

Although he likes being a SandWing, he doesn't have any particular prejudices towards dragons of other tribes, in fact he has a huge curiosity over them and believes that all tribes should respect each other, so that wars would be prevented. After the War, he became loyal to Thorn and admires her as a Leader, as he believes she is a just and rightful Queen.

BACKSTORY:

Cactus grew up inside the SandWing palace with his parents. He and his family were loyal subjects of Queen Oasis. He had a very happy and simple childhood in the Palace and when he got older, he eventually joined the army to help protect his Queen. When Oasis was killed and the War started, he ended up joining Burn's army, not because he particularly liked her, but more so because his family decided to support Burn. There he met Lotus, who was working as a nurse for the wounded soldiers. They fell in love and were planning to desert the army so they could live a peaceful life in the Scorpion Den, however, on a surprise attack, Lotus was terribly injured tried to defend the wounded soldiers. Though Cactus tried to save her, she couldn't survive her wounds and died shortly after. Filled with guilt over her death, Cactus deserted Burn's army and joined the Talons of Peace.

There he met a SkyWing named Celeste and saw that she seemed sad and lonely and tried to approach her, but she angrily snarled at him so he would leave her alone. Though that wasn't enough to keep him off her tail, as he suspected she was hiding something and needed company, so he kept visiting her in an attempt to win her trust and trying to make her feel better. Celeste would angrily snap at him everytime, but he would never give up on trying to cheer her up. One day, he finally asked about her necklace, to which she seemed really sad over, as it was an engagement gift from her past lover. She refused to tell him about the necklace, but he figured it had a strong emotional meaning to her, so he ended up telling her about his own late partner, Lotus, and how much he missed her. Celeste was surprised to learn of his loss and felt bad for being so rude at him. They started to bond afterwards and it didn't took long for Cactus to realize he was falling for the beautiful SkyWing, seeing how much she reminded him of Lotus and that she needed someone to help her heal, just as he needed her as well.

The two became a couple and after the War of SandWing succession was over, they moved to Possibility and started a new family together.
