Description
I LOVE THIS CHARACTER!! I got them from Sahel-Solitude who's designs are seriously amazing and I'm so glad I was able to nab them!!!This character fits into the universe I'm creating that has Frevia, Xediar, Aeirluz, as well as some characters I'm designing right now. It's a fantasy-type universe where dragons and humans live together and both speak, and are generally considered equals. I've mentioned it before. Also I'm making a lot of character refs right now lmao
Name: Ariss (air-iss)
Gender: Agender
Age: Early thirties
Backstory: Ariss was born in a mountainous region of Vlas-Kaj. (The world, I've never mentioned it's name before I don't think) Their society was a heavily magic-based one, with most members being either magic, or used to using disposable items like wands and staffs for their everyday needs. Ariss on the other hand, was born non-magical, and liked it that way. they absolutely refused to use anything magically charged because they were scared of the consequences. The harnessing of magic in Vlas-Kaj, due to it's vast power, was a risky process if not naturally disposed to it. Many people were killed in harvesting magic, unless they were magic users themselves. They thoroughly believed that magical solutions were not necessary, and such, left their home. They traveled around, learning more about the world. As they did, they visited many places, far away from their home. Being incredibly skilled, cunning, and intelligent, they caught the eye of several of the Seven Great Sorcerers. (Some lore I've yet to release. Aierluz is one of them) They were happy to grant them lessons to create a magic core, as they believed they could become an excellent magic-user. Ariss downright refused, believing they were well off on their own. Later in life, they started an entirely non-magical academy to contrast with the many magical academies springing up in Vlas-Kaj. While it is small in comparison to most magical academies, it did a great deal to show many magic-users that magic wasn't the only solution to issues, and that non-magical people did not need to obtain risky items in order to be successful.
Personality: Ariss is cunning and intelligent. When they meet new people, they often go a great deal into reading their personalities and disposition to judge if they are worth talking to. If they do not see desirable qualities in you, they will refuse to speak to you in an open manner. However, if they see you to be worthy, they will open up and become your greatest ally. They are incredibly defensive of those they see fit, but have a blind spot in understanding that even if you can't get along with someone, they still deserve respect. They strive for knowledge, and love learning through experience and travel rather than study. They do not inherently hate magical people, however they hate the idea that magic should be forced upon those who do not already have it, due to the consequences. They love the thrill of adventure, and often travel to towns and cities, staying there for several weeks to explore, then leave. They are also a writer, and sell books based on their travels.
Quote: "How should I trust you, when that look in your eye appears to be filled with a burning hatred for me?"

Aha yeah, it’s kind of one of those hard to remember or spell fantasy names. And thanks! I’m so glad I nabbed them because they were a first come first serve adoptable!
