People call Sakura useless without knowing what they are talking about. Tsunade doesn't amount to much more than a magical healing energy transmitter but you don't see anyone calling HER useless. She even nearly got her can handed to her by Kabuto.Sakura is a MEDIC!!! She isn't supposed to be on the front lines risking her tail. She stays in the back making sure the people fighting stay in one piece. I play a support character in most MMOs I play and I can vouch that support characters (like Sakura) aren't supposed to throw themselves into the middle of a fight. We stay back and make sure the rest of the team stay healed. Going into battle without a healer is suicide.

Yeah those lady's don't get near enough respect IMO. One of the reasons I started the group it's kind of my way of saying "I appreciate you" to them. It's only a few days old but it's got 15 members.

Reasons why I hate Sakura : she always cries for nothing , she always punches her friends for not doing anything, she mostly punches Naruto and then later on in the day Pain attacks the village and she begs Naruto to come why him becausee he always saves you and she would probably be dead if Naruto hadn't saved her all those times , yeah she brought down Sasori but Granny Chiyo did more and she was controlling Sakura and telling her what to do , her medical skills are great yeah but she paractices that's how you learn it whut's so great about that

If you could stop being so biased, you could actually see she has the best character growth among all the females of the Konoha twelve.
Among Temari, Tenten, Hinata, and Ino, she has the highest stats, ahead by approximately five points. Stats are a character's ninjutsu, taijutsu, genjutsu, intelligence, strength, speed, stamina and handseals.
She got stronger due to hard work and practice accompanied by her prodigious chakra control and intelligence.

Mm, how so? Sakura has received brutal evasion tactics from Tsunade. She can easily dodge through whatever blasts of wind Temari can whip out and easily beat her to a pulp in close-range combat.
Besides, her stats are much more higher than Temari's in the databook in ninjutsu, taijutsu, genjutsu and handseals. Temari's total is 24.5 in stats, Sakura AND Naruto's are both 26. On a side note, Neji's is 27, Tenten 20.5, Hinata 21.5, Tsunade 35
I like Temari in long-range combat, but I don't think she can land a lethal hit on a Shippuuden Sakura. That Sakura is just badass.

yeah but i don't really care about Tenten,Hinata,Temari,Ino and them because they are all weak tied with Sakura but Sakura is more weak to me like i bet you Mei,Tsunade,Shizune,Konan,Kushina,maybe Temari,Yugito,Fuu and them can beat Sakura and i know they are strong and Sakura is just a chunin and all but really holding a kunai every episode when they are kids is nothing and pulling her gloves for every Shippuden episode is nothing too and she is not badass in my opinion you can like Sakura but I will like other girls and just because her score is higher is because Tenten,Ino,Hinata,Temari don't get any screen attention that's why there scores are less then Sakura and she has missions with Naruto so they are tie and yeah she beat Sasori but Granny Chiyo was controlling her and telling her to punch and stuff and Sasori was kinda weak anyways

It's okay; I apologize for acting out of line myself. I don't normally argue with others about something like this. I'm beginning to contradict myself with my sayings of not caring about opposing fandom sides. I'll make sure it won't happen again. We all have our own opinions.
I don't hate characters, but if I were a boy, I would want to get Sakura, Konan, Hinata, Tenten, Temari and all the other lovely girls of Naruto to be my own harem of girlfriends.

Very true! And I mean, at least she's WON fights against powerful opponents. Another fan favorite character has only been seen having her ass handed to her...
What I like best about Sakura, is that at first she was immature, and shallow- she had no real intent on getting better. But then she started to change. She started seeing Naruto as less of an annoyance and more of a friend. She decided that she didn't want to be weak, and did something about it. I'd say she's the character who received the most character development.

I think people are just sick of Kishimoto giving the girls more of the hang back and watch the guys fight roles. Sakura isn't useless, but Kishimoto doesn't make her as much part of the story as he should. The whole manga seems to revolve around Naruto and Sasuke and Sakura doesn't carry the weight that they do in the manga even though she should be a main character as well.
The older generations above Sakura aren't as bad but Kishimoto doesn't seem to give the girls her age the limelight that they could (or should) get. He doesn't put them in many solo fights and has their stories more focused on love than their own growth sometimes.
I personally don't fault the girls for any of it because it is just what Kishimoto chooses to focus on in their lives when many of them have other parts that they are growing in changing tremendously in. Sakura with her uber medical skills, Hinata with her family reconciliations and greater skills, and Ino and Tenten with their own lives and skills are examples of what should be more focused on for them. I do fault though when fans don't see all of this and label them useless when there is so much more to their characters if you just take the time to look.

Also Kishimoto is bad at writing heroine roles. He said so himself. The people who will call them useless and hate on them just don't take the time to really look at what is there.

Kishimoto IS good at creating lovable characters (in my opinion) but fails at showing their development. All he really needed to do was SHOW their development more and things could have been better. Seeing Sakura strength as a medic, fighter and sort of respected member of the village would have done wonders for her character. What we got instead was her acting in limited means that didn't directly contribute often to the main storyline. She was in fact pushed away often by Naruto and Sasuke to help in their problems and did not have any strong connections to the storyline unless it was through one of them. Kishimoto should have created another thread in the whole Senju/Uchiha plot that directly affected her in a way that didn't go through her teammates first.

She could use some character developement. But the newest chapter (posted today) looks like there's gonna be some Sakura action in the future!

I've never really understood why people call Sakura useless.. She's one of the more efficient and useful females in the whole series...Only Tsunade and Mei are truly stronger than her. Out of the Rookie girls, Sakura has the highest score in the databooks. Without her...Naruto would have probably died by now. She is always there to heal him and she works hard as a healer. I also hate it when people act like Sakura has done nothing for Naruto... She approached him when he was in the four-tails form because she was worried about him and wanted to help him. She ended up healing him too. If it weren't for her, many would die... Calling Sakura useless is like calling a doctor or nurse useless, which is definitely not true. Healers are very important...
And Sakura is freaking strong. It's kind of scary but still her strength is epic! She's a powerhouse!

Speaking of this scene, you know how everyone on the battlefield is on alert for the Zetsu clones? Well, it's all thanks to this scene and Sakura. If it weren't for her, the Zetsu clones would have gotten away with killing a lot more people.
And yet haters still call her useless.

yeah, she is alot better than people give her credit for. A lot of people take her 'attitude' and put her down, but I see her as being like the older sister type with an attitude, which makes her cooler and cuter XD she is kick ass.
The main issues i think are 2-fold.
1) Some overthetop naruhina fans bad mouthing her for anti-naruSaku reasons, and 2, no one forgets how whiny and useless she was in part one (she was pretty cool during the exams but after that, she kinda dropped out of sight xp and before that seemingly low key (talking manga though)) and not taking in to account she was learning back then, to figure out who she was. And she was a much more capable ninja when shippuden came around.

People can say whatever they want. Sakura IS thousand times more reliable than she was before Shipuuden.
Sakura can efficiently heal People now AND fight back any Enemy to a certain Extent.
