An entry for the current art contest/activity being run over at FF:WA . Probably the first time I've actually drawn an in-action pose, so I wouldn't be surprised if Yuffie looks all wonky.Lineart: fineliner

friendly tip: the center of gravity is off...in my opinion, (if you were to draw this pose again) the front knee should be bent a bit and the angle of the shoulders should be more sideways than diagonal.

That's great. I like the perspective and the way she seems to jump off the page due to the colors and shadings.

Yeah, she looks quite off-balance. However, her pose evens her out, allowing her to JUUUST keep from falling over.
You should add a motion blur to the shurkin, or speed lines, or something. As of right now, i barely get the impression that Yuffie is throwing it. It's just kinda... hangin in space.

Problem is, I don't really know how to go about adding the effects - drawing with a mouse is much more difficult than pure colouring

Hehe. Good thing you liked the effect; nearly sprained my finger trying to erase the 'innards' of the background tone (bah, I'm probably not making sense). It was the water-paper effect in Photoshop Elements
