Lol pencil tree. :Uim going to try to upload more sketches and traditional artwork on here too, since i think its just as important as my finished pieces <3 actually, i think i like doing detailed sketches more than anything else, they're loads of fun C:
this is a comission done for a girl at school. she just wanted a tree, but i heard she loves clouds as well, so i put them in there too
might scrap this later, who knows.

You have the sort of talent and enchanting works of art that I often have difficulty in saying what I feel about them, which is why I just stare at them for hours instead of commenting, I'm sorry =;.;=
This looks like an illustration for a magical story, or the start of a fantasy comic. How cool is that tree? It's got age and wisdom to it in all those knots and twists. I have such problems drawing trees, damn your tree-drawing-ability hide

im really happy you get that feeling of "age" from the tree, since thats was i was aiming for in a sense (usually i dont start out with an idea of a tree will look like...it kind of builds its own character as it developes 8D )
Believe it or not, i used to have a terrible time drawing trees |D i made it a chore to go out and practice them as much as i could (there are trees everywhere on my school papers from last year :U ) and eventually i got the hang of it, and developed my own style
so i guess what im trying to say is, practice something for long enough and your going to master it in no time :B
And its kinda funny that you envy my tree drawing ability...cause i envy your pencil skillz :C i tried making pencil works the other day, inspired by yours. and it came out horrible. XD; i was all "wtf how does she blend so easily and whats with those awesome colors anddkhgdkfjghfd?!kjghfdkg*dies*"

Ahaha, as you say, it is all down to practising and experimenting!
You know, I don't actually draw anything outside these days AT ALL 
and if you need a tip for the colour pencilinginging, just start off with lightly doing the lighter colours, and then deepen them as you go along :3

clean? really? this one was quite messy,compared to my others. (i actually did this one during a movie in my history class xDD; so it was kinda dark, and i didnt realize how messy i was until the teacher turned the lights back on :B )
but im still happy to hear this ones clean 8D it makes me feel like i can lighten up a bit on the OCD lines with my other sketches |D
