Description
This painting is based on a sketch I did 2 years ago ([link] ). I wanted to give it the same degree of finish as my previous painting "Warm Mist".I leave a suggestive title hoping that you make up your own story behind it...for me it could be a party of deadly warriors silently emerging from the morning mist about to suprise the enemy.
Again, Peder Mork Monsted was a great source of inspiration.

I love the fact that you didn't just stop at getting the lighting perfect but actually created all that magnificent detail on the foreground!

In nature, mornings give pleasant pleasure, infant sun gives rays of hope. sometimes those who witness the small contradictions will not be alive. Its like, you showed the beyond judgmental truth.Β

Wonderful painting!
I imagine it depicts the unexpected return of long forgotten forces to avenge a former offense... Just as the prophecies that no one remembers foretold.

This painting makes me so excited. All I can think of are elves making their way west through middle earth to leave and never return. I guess that's a more peaceful and calm response.

This is a very powerful painting...
Seriously, such scene in a motion picture would be a unique moment of grace.
What I love in this painting is this gold atmosphere and this quiet feeling. We can see this company moving slowly, no danger, no hurry. Well, maybe they are dangerous, but the scene is peaceful.
Maybe what makes this picture so good is the parallel between the series of trees, horses and humans. They are all in numbers and all on the same tone in the different grounds. This is magical...
You deserve a royal lama!!!

Amazing figures. And I absolutely love the way you go about drawing branches on trees. I have a question here.. When you draw many rows of things in front of each other, such as the trees, do you have each lighter tone(further away) on different layers underneath other rows that are closer? I hope the question isn't too muddled up to understand. haha.

Maybe they are the Rangers of the Grey Company... In any case, they look really impressive.

Are you kidding me? Maaaaan... that's just so... beautiful. No, wait, beautiful isn't nearly the word i was searching for. There is no word for this...
Reminds me of the elves in lord of the rings.
