Description
This painting is based on a sketch I did 2 years ago ([link] ). I wanted to give it the same degree of finish as my previous painting "Warm Mist".I leave a suggestive title hoping that you make up your own story behind it...for me it could be a party of deadly warriors silently emerging from the morning mist about to suprise the enemy.
Again, Peder Mork Monsted was a great source of inspiration.

The shadows seem to come alive as one by one the Raven Company emerged from the mist shrouded forest. Even their warhorses walked as silent as the men who rode them. Well just something that came to mind as I looked at your painting, great job

It reminds me a lot to the history of the book Clash of Kings, where Robb is in the whispering forest to catch Jamie Lannister.

it makes me remember my horse hiking with some friends, coming back to town in the nigth after spending all the day long in the national parc, and the only things you can heard are the horses, the wild animals and your own breath in the nigth

beautiful! The amount of skill in this work is fantastic, it really speaks and has a vivid atmosphere! Sometimes I try to pull off such artworks, but they end up looking crap, maybe I'm just trying to leap too quickly to epic, realistic, art with great colours and atmosphere's.
Well.... at least I really like it, the mist, the shadows, the trees, it just all adds up! If I could I'd suggest it as a DD!!

Nice piece. I really like the trees in this. They give a nice dark overtone to a rather bright atmosphere.

At first seeing this, I imagined they were a group of refugees fleeing from a demolished country but bravely reestablishing a new home in a land just outside this forest.
