You do such cheerful work!I am VERY proud of this, especially since I got this done in, like only TWO hours and got it to this caliber, whereas I spent 15 on "Sumo Chibi" and came out to be among my poorest work.
Again, it all has to do with the enthusiasm and appreciation you have for the concept and character! I may put THIS in my portfolio, but then again, people may say the character isn't as direct as many of my other pieces. They COULD only see a Disneyfied version of a bluejay ( *flinch* *eye twitch*), but eh, one safety to back me up.I think the feathers should be a bit more smooth and streamlined, and not too fluffed up like they are here. They don't emphasize her shapely fig-er, and she's known for speed and has an edgy side too. Makes me wonder what she's been up too.
I'm getting very comfortable with Corel Painter, so much that if this keeps up, I may have to get the ninth addition for my own! I should up it on my Amazon Wishlist *hint hint* *WINK WINK* *NUDGE NUDGE*!!!!!

This is a wonderful picture of Lark. Your style of shading really (for lack of a better word) shines in this picture. It looks realistic, but without losing the cartoony feel.

you should scout ebay for painter 9.0, you might find it cheaper than on amazon.
THis looks amazing man... if the eye were drawn like a normal bird eye, i would have thought this was a photograph... phenomenal work. You are definitely conquering the program.

Tons of personality come across in this pic, though she seems more sweet than edgy here. I love her expression. Doesn't look particularly Disneyish to me - much more subtle. The fluffy feathers are nice, even if a sleeker look might be more what you wanted. And the picture's just beautiful overall.

Not bad! However the excessive use of the computer can make poorer the beauty of a drawing. I'm sure that watercolours would do more justice to the cuty bird...
