For the villagers of Okoto, travel across the varied regions have been discouraged since the fall of the Mask Makers and the rise of Skull Spider attacks. But in the Region of Fire, one villager has defied these suggestions and maintained a personal goal to see all his wondrous island has to offer. From the luminous regions of the Region of Earth to the icy wastelands of the Region of Ice, this brave and resourceful villager has ventured across Okoto, seeking out villages and hearing their stories. It is said that he also shared legends of the prophecy of elemental heroes destined to save the island, giving the villagers hope as the menace of evil seemed to grow around them. For this he has gained the unofficial title of "the Protector of Chronicles", the one who maintains

This villager travels with a firey staff that was gifted to him by Protector of Fire Narmoto after saving him from a herd of goat-like creatures that tried to drag him away to their den, and an Elemental Water Blaster earned for defending the Village of Water from a destructive rampage of monstrous Skull Beetles. The Protect of Chronicles is sometimes witnessed as riding one of the crabs native to the Region of Earth, and it is rumored than he has made a close kinship with one of them that has made it willing to carry him across the whole island. Other rumors say that he has tamed one of the Skull Spiders and made it a companion for him during the long treks across regions.

The villager bore witness to the arrival of Tahu, the Master of Fire, as he crashed into the grounds of the Region of Fire close to the shoreline, and was the one who guided Narmoto and his villagers to the impact crater. With the Protectors now returning to their homes following their guiding of the Toa to their Masks of Power, this villager has been traveling between the villages faster than ever before, eager to learn the stories of how the elemental heroes claimed their Masks. Though he has told no one of such plans, it is expected by many (particularly those from his home in the Village of Fire) that the villager will be setting off on his own for the City of the Mask Makers to witness the Toa's efforts to reach Ekimu and the Mask of Creation. They expect nothing less from the Protector of Chronicles.

I've just now acquired both the Protector of Fire and Protector of Water sets, and as you might imagine, I saw a particular use in them due to their particular set of part colors. Namely, allowing me to create a homage to one of the most popular characters from BIONICLE's first generation in the form of a character fitting for the second one. Really like how it came out, too. Wonder if I should go for some more photos when I go to the beach in a week.

All parts came from both Protector sets. I could've used some of my other BIONICLE/CCBS parts, but they're in storage right now and I wasn't looking to do something grand here.

Also, I now know there's a whole category on this site for LEGO art. Time to update some things...
