Description
Scratching Dragon - Life Size Mixed MediaI sculpted a series of dragons for Royal Caribbean in 2005, which proved to be very popular with everybody who came into the studio. So I decided to sculpt this creature. Again it is lovely to have the opportunity to just let your imagination go.
Here the dragon is sitting on an impossible pile of rocks scratching an itch like a cat or dog, the pleasure of hitting the right spot evident in his eye.
If you look closely each of the rocks has a face sculpted into it but you do have to look carefully as the faces are subtle – once you spot one the others are easier to find.
This fantasy sculpture was my first entry into Spectrum and didn’t get in unfortunately.

Did you mean to upload only the head closeup? The descriptions seems like it was supposed to be a full body picture.
It's incredible, all your work is.
