Description
This is my animation of a bird that I did in my first year of animation uni. It was required to take off, link into a flight cycle and then land. This was a very frustrating project, birds hard to draw flying! I had problems with proportions near the end because I rushed it. :sRelated content

If my memory serves correct (this was around 7 or more years ago) this animation was predominantly shot on 2s, so would be around 12 drawings for every second give or take.

just a lot of drawings, a camera and some software to capture it all.

thanks alot. Yep, all traditional handdrawn pencil on paper. A lot of paper, but not as much as the amount of paper I used making my films....literally thousands. ^_^

A little of advice, never rush work.

when its a uni project deadline, you got to rush. This was also 4 years ago. I could probably animate this in an hour or two now.

Thanks very much buddy. It was one of my first animations, I got a bunch in my gallery. I have even made 2D animated short films with colour in too. A lot of hard work, but worth it just to say you made a film.

haha, its all traditional pencil on paper drawing, then shot and filmed into a computer. I cant remember how many drawings went into this man, but i think it took a week to do. Then again, that was my first year of animation, so I was a rookie back then.
